This puppy, Texas, can! Something about snow and Texas.... Two of the three times I have been to Texas, it has snowed. In October of 2000, I was in Basic Training at Lackland Air Force Base, and well, it snowed. In 2001, I was in San Angelo Texas at Goodfellow Air Force Base, and well, it snowed again. Here, little Texas licks the ice off the deck shortly after a winter snow in Rhode Island... it is a theme for me I guess.
I took this in a shop in NYC in April and have been waiting for a chance to use it. Wrapping gifts and picking out bows and ribbons was one of my favorite things about Christmas when I was a kid. Now, people buy gift bags...or gift cards. Cherish every moment. It Flies By.
I like the street light and electric wires in the background of this shot of old lanterns. Cherish every moment. It Flies By.
I guess some may wonder why I continue to post my personal photos on this blog. Well, it is my strong belief that beauty can be found everywhere, everyday, equally among the mundane as in the exciting moments of our lives. My family is my everyday, and I find it to be spectacularly beautiful. I want to promote change in the way we approach photographing our lives, our families, and especially our children. Mine and yours. I took this photo at the B&O Railroad museum in Ellicott City. I love everything about it. Cherish every moment. It Flies By.
Melanie takes ornaments from the tree, so her brother (above) can try to eat them. Cherish every moment. It Flies By.
Sometimes we can forget to take time to show off our pets. This is Piper. She is a tween in dog years. She walks like she is not quite sure of her long legs and she is quite timid, but she can sure work the camera! Cherish every moment. It Flies by.
We do now! Thanks to a last minute run to the store on Thanksgiving Day. Cherish every moment. It Flies By.
