Today the family is resting. I will write again when we are better. Cherish every moment. It Flies By.
The slightly turned face, and the tilted head show the warmth between these two kindergarten girls. Cherish every moment. It Flies By.
If you are a mom to more than one, you can probably guess why I love this photo my husband took. Only those of us who truly know the blessings of motherhood can see the little boy wrapped around my leg in this photo. Cherish every moment. It Flies By.
My in-laws lost a dog today, Bonnie, to her battle with bone cancer. I feel for their loss, because I know the love of a dog. My dog Koda is the only other woman in my house. She loves my children and keeps a watchful eye on them when I am occupied. She plays and runs with them when my hands are full. She licks their faces to kiss or to clean, and whenever I need her, she is always there with her head in my lap to let out a deep exhale and remind me to breathe. Thank you, Koda. Cherish every moment. It Flies by.
I witnessed a baby getting baptized today. Regardless of what one chooses to believe, there is no way one could watch this and think it was anything but beautiful. Tradition, family, innocence, and devotion to something higher than oneself...wrapped in a dress that outlived any of the parish's onlookers...and that pride in her fathers face? Immeasurable. Cherish every moment. It Flies By.
I guess I started in 1986 or so. This is the first photo I remember taking, or at least the first that ever got developed. My sister and I each took one with a Canon... probably an AE-1. My grandmother showed us how to focus and press the button to take the picture, with what was clearly her back up camera. This is how we usually saw her, with a brightly woven camera strap around her neck. It was my first work with an SLR. Welcome to my blog where I will share the everyday photos that I take, and invite you into my life and the world as I see it. Cherish every moment. It Flies By.
